Experienced Service Technician - Kingsford, MI

Ride North is seeking an experienced small engine mechanic at our Kingsford location. The ideal applicant should be a self starter with 3-5 years minimum experience maintaining and repairing products that we sell (powersports, marine, tractor or RV). We are willing to advance the training of the right candidate who exhibits promise from base knowledge and relevant experiences. Having your own tools to perform duties is highly preferred.

What you will do:

  • Perform with minimum supervision equipment repairs in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed and that fellow employees do the same.
  • Troubleshoot problems on all equipment using test equipment, tools, service manuals and service bulletins.
  • Utilize all departmental reference materials, service and parts manuals as needed to complete the job.
  • Continually study and upgrade proficiency in construction equipment troubleshooting and repair.
  • Keep your paperwork up-to-date at all times, personal and company (CDL - Physical Card - Log Books - Timesheets).
  • Learn to operate construction equipment for diagnostics and repair.
  • Own enough hand tools to facilitate completion of job tasks. Stay up to date on new trends and techniques pertaining to powersports and marine functions, operability, and repair.
  • Keep current on all factory training including certifications, web-based or other training, technical service bulletins, other update literature, and new model training.
  • Ensure that adequate internal controls are functioning appropriately within assigned areas.
  • Adhere to corporate policies/procedures, documentation standards, and applicable regulatory requirements (i.e., federal, state, local).
  • Exercise an appropriate level of courtesy, tact, and professional communications in dealing with others.

Service Manager - Kingsford, MI

Ride North is looking for a Service manager to join our team. This person should have prior experience in warranty, scheduling, and personnel management in a dealership setting. Powersports, Marine, RV & Tractor experience is a major plus. Successful candidate will possess great organizational skills, be a great self-starter, have a mechanical aptitude, be able to work with computers. This job will require great personal and communications skills in dealing with our customers and staff members. We need someone who should like being in control, want to get involved in all processes and not afraid to put their detective skills to the test.

What you will do:

  • Driving the company culture through his/her actions, which include the workforce planning, hiring, training, counseling, developing of shop managers, service advisors & automotive technicians while retaining employees to ensure the district financial obligations are achieved

Parts Sales Specialist- Kingsford, MI

Selling, ordering, organizing and keeping inventory being the key factors of the position.Having great customer service skills both in person and over the phone create the atmosphere that brings in our customers. With attention to detail, good listening skills, each customer will be able to communicate their needs, while you proceed to fill their orders, upsell additional parts, accessories, apparel, and riding gear that they may need or didn’t know they needed.

 

What you will do:

  • Drive sales of technical and casual powersports and marine apparel and riding gear to in-store customers, phone-in customers, media customers, internet customers and internal departments

  • Educate customers on and sell gear and apparel related to motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, scooters, fishing boats, pontoon boats

  • Inventory management including ordering, receiving, and cycle counts

  • Create, maintain, restock, and organize displays in showrooms

  • Follow up with customers on special order items and status

  • May include sales at outside events

  • Participate in training, seminars, and staff meetings

  • Dominate Social Media and stay highly engaged to drive traffic

  • Maintain current and updated items on Ebay at all times to create a presence

  • Maintain returns/exchanges of parts inventory

  • Order, count, and verify inventory of parts, accessories, apparel, and gear for customer orders, special orders, and service orders

What your Qualification you must have:
